A Relaxed Oceanside Vibe

Subtle hints of sea-washed blues, shell greys, and toasty sands are sprinkled throughout this Westbrook beach house to create a simplistic and relaxed ocean-side vibe. Tastefully current, each room showcases how tile and stone combine to form a work of art. Join us for a tour as we soak in the palette of mixed designs, which makes this home truly remarkable.

The kitchen. Yes, it defines the phrase “dream kitchen.” Designed by Diane Miner this space speaks sophisticated style. Bold splashes of oyster black pop from the Delicatus Extra granite island top while the 3x6 Light Grey Medley backsplash (by FINE) embraces the room with a soothing effect. The Brown Antique polished perimeter ties in the darkest shades of the granite and the dramatic bronze light fixtures. A treasure proudly gazing back above the cooktop is the custom designed tiled map of the CT shoreline.

The master bath. Waves gently splash against the sand to create a peaceful soundtrack outside the window of this exquisite master bath. The pure white cabinets with sea-foam knobs delicately pair with the 18x18 Marquis floor tile in Carrara (by Florida Tile). Following this subdued pattern into the shower are the 9x18 Marquis tiles that line the walls and the 5/8 glass and steel mixed mosaic, quietly sparkling in the sunlight. Topping off the space are the soft swirls running throughout the Cambria Berwyn vanity top.

The guest bath. It’s the hidden gem in this beach-lover’s abode. A stream of sparkling silver runs through a terrain of misty grey on the Cambria Summerhill vanity top. Contrasting the darker shades captured within the quartz are the 12x24 Meadow floor tiles in the color Papyrus (by FINE). The shower walls are covered in glossy 4x16 Traditions ceramic tile in Pumice (by FINE). And like a necklace of precious stones, the Subtle Blend Brick Glass Mosaic (by FINE) adds eloquent pop to the neutral space.

Coastal elements translated into rich tile and stone designs to set the mood for every room in this magazine-worthy home. For a listing of products used, to see more inspiring project photos, visit the Galleria Stone and Tile Inspired Spaces Gallery.
