GENROSE Stone + Tile in New Hampshire started in the Eighties when neon and walkmans were in. Bill and his brother Bob Smethurst had just begun what would be their career-long journey in the tile industry. Wm. Smethurst & Son actually started in the 1940’s in Medford, MA as a tile and glass tile installation company in the Boston Area serving some of the most prestigious Universities and residential customers. Learning all the tricks of the trade from their dad, Bob (Senior), both Bill and Bob successfully stepped into the role of fourth generation Smethurst tile gurus. “A business can only be as strong as its customer base.” This was the slogan Bob (Senior) lived by and continues to be the cornerstone of operations for GENROSE Stone + Tile in NH even today. Bill Smethurst has made New Hampshire his home and is very involved in the community and as a hockey coach.
